The 2019 Henry County Farm Fest was held Friday, September 6th, at the Henry County Farigrounds.  The Farm Fest is an annual event dedicated to teaching students from Henry County about agriculture.  Around 400 sixth-grade students from Inman, Harrelson, Lakewood and Henry schools attended the event.  Ron, Jason & Ryan had a fun day demonstrating the NRCS rainfall simulator and talking to students about the importance of soil conservation and ersoion control.  Melissa served as a class guide for the 18 ag stations that were set up.  Each student was gifted a Henry County SCD backpack, pencil, and NRCS pollinator pocket book.  We are grateful to be a part of the Farm Fest and appreciate the opportunity to share our conservation efforts with these students.  We may even have some future conservationists in this audience!
