Henry County Soil Maps Available Online

The recently completed Henry County Soil Survey is now available online at USDA NRCS Web Soil Survey.  GIS data can be downloaded and reports generated at Soil Data Mart.

Soil Survey Party Leader Craig Harris, Soil Scientist David Thomas and others worked diligently to complete the mapping and data for the Henry County Soil Survey.  Craig Harris said "Nationwide, Soil Survey work is moving into a new phase of improving the current product and harmonizing the areas where the data has conflicts.  Henry and Benton Counties, being the most recently completed Soil Surveys, can now be used as a foundation for the improvement of soil survey work across West Tennessee and surrounding areas."
